About the YAMASHITA KARTE DOJO
The YAMASHITA KARATE Shorin-ryu Dojo in San Antonio Texas was founded by Master Richard Gomez in 1975 under Gomez Martial Arts. By the middle 80's, the dojo was renamed YAMASHITA KARATE. Sensei Gomez developed a traditional karate dojo that still teaches his basic Shorin-ryu Karate system un-altered today. We are mostly concerned & care about sharing, teaching and empowering students of all backgrounds with the discipline of SHORIN-RYU KARATE & T'AI CHI. Our dojo is a positively peaceful family oriented atmosphere.
